Middle and junior high school students from around the world will converge Friday and Saturday, May 17 and 18, at the University of Arkansas to compete using robots designed, built, and programmed with Legos.
The competition is part of an international program, the FIRST LEGO League, designed to inspire youth to learn more about engineering and technology.
The event will be held from 8.am. to noon and 1:30 to 5:30 p.m. on both days. An award ceremony will take place at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday at the Chi Omega Greek Theater.
The tournament is hosted by the College of Engineering’s First-Year Engineering Program and will include participants from as far away as Japan, Chile, and India.
