University of Arkansas students are conducting an experiment at Lake Fayetteville on Thursday, April 11.

The students are studying karst hydrogeology.

The experiment uses a green fluorescent dye to trace water flow. The environmentally friendly dye may color the lake water.

The dye should dissipate within hours and flush through the water flow overnight.

For additional information, you can contact Dr. Matt Covington, associate professor of Geology at the University of Arkansas at 479-575-3876.
