UPDATE: Four Teens Arrested in Springdale After Car Crashes into Gas Meter

Four arrests are made in connection with an accident involving a gas meter getting hit by a car early Tuesday, March 26. 

A car that had been reported stolen was seen in Springdale around 6:20 a.m., according to Springdale Police Lieutenant Jeff Taylor.

Officers tried to stop the 2013 black Honda Civic at Park and Caudle.  The driver didn’t stop and instead took off and a pursuit ensued with speed reaching 80 miles per hour, said Taylor. 

The car crashed and hit a gas meter at Elm Springs Road, according to police.

There were four juveniles between the ages of 16 to 17 — all male — in the car.  Police arrested all four for theft by receiving, according to Lt. Taylor.

The Springdale Fire Department is on the scene of a gas meter hit due to a car accident

According to Springdale dispatch, the accident occurred outside the Springdale city limits. A portion of Elm Springs Road is blocked off at this time. 

No injuries were reported at this time. Crews are still on scene working the accident.
