FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KFTA) –  Arkansas Connections Academy is now open for enrollment for the 2018- 2019 school year.

The academy is a tuition free online public school offering a flexible and innovative education option for students kindergarten through 11th grade.

“We’re excited to continue providing families across Arkansas with a flexible and innovative education option,” said Darla Gardner, principal of Arkansas Connections Academy. “I invite families interested in online education to join us at one of our information sessions held throughout the summer, to learn more about the school and whether it’s a good fit for their student’s learning needs.”

The virtual school offers a personalized education for students that combines certified teachers, a proven curriculum, technology tools, and community experiences-online and in person-to create a supportive environment for children who want an individualized approach to education, according to a press release from Arkansas Connections Academy.

Students work with teachers online and on the phone while a parent or other adult “Learning Coach” monitors progress in the home.

The upcoming school year will be the third year the academy has been open.
