BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KFTA) — From humble beginnings to extensive contributions, on Thursday people got a look at the growth of the Walmart Foundation.
The Walmart Museum held a panel as part of the “I Remember Sam” speaker series.
Walton would’ve turned 100 this year.
Those who knew him best spoke on a panel about Walton’s insights on growing the foundation.
Last year, it awarded more than $1.4 billion dollars in cash and in-kind donations.
Since its inception, the foundation has created economic opportunities around the world.
“Helping out in everything from disaster relief to hunger relief. It’s, it’s just an amazing organization,” said Alan Dranow, senior director for the Walmart Heritage Group.
The panel was taped on film and will be available on the Walmart Museum website, as well as on its social media platforms.
