FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KFTA) — There was a big surprise for a Woodland Junior High teacher.
Eighth grade English teacher Andrew Young was named Fayetteville Public School District’s Teacher of the Year this morning.
Young thanked his fellow teachers along with his students for the award. Young said he knew Woodland was the perfect place for him.
“From the very beginning of graduate school, I knew I wanted to teach in Fayetteville Public schools and I knew that I wanted to teach at Woodland,” Young said. “It was my favorite rotation out of doing my internships.”
Young is no stranger to awards. He’s also been named Woodland Junior High’s Teacher of the Year.
