The Young Eagles flight program is giving local kids the chance to take flight June 8, at 8:15 a.m., at the Arkansas Aviation and Military Museum

The organization, sponsored by local members of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA), will offer free flights for any child aged 8 through 17 to celebrate Young Eagles Day.

“Young people need to know that the world of aviation is available to them, and it can be a rewarding, life-long association,” instructor Dave Bowman said.

Congressman Steve Womack plans to attend the 27th annual flight rally.

The EAA has hosted the celebration for more than 3,000 children in Northwest Arkansas.
