NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR – Over 100 businesses have pledged to support lesbian, gay, transgender and bisexual rights. It was part of the Human Rights Campaign Arkansas Equality in Business program. They presented the pledges at the Arkansas Regional Innovation Hub in North Little Rock. The pledge says business will value their employees based on their performance and not their gender identity or sexual orientation among other things.

“It is an opportunity after signing the pledge and getting a sticker to display that they are committed to diversity inclusion in the workplace for them to network with other businesses,” says Kendra Johnson.

According to the Human Rights Campaign in Arkansas 37% of LGBT people have experienced harassment at work, and half have experienced harassment on the street.
