LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – One-hundred Entergy Arkansas distribution line workers and support help are headed to the East Coast as Hurricane Florence continues on a path to the Carolinas.
A caravan of five bucket trucks and several smaller support vehicles left from the Baseline Service Center in Little Rock on Tuesday morning. They are assigned to Duke Energy – Carolina.
They will be helping restore power after Florence makes landfall.
The Category 4 hurricane is expected to slam ashore somewhere on the southeast or Mid-Atlantic coast Thursday night.
Another 90 from Entergy Mississippi are assigned to South Carolina Electric and Gas Company.
Other Entergy operating companies in Texas and Louisiana will have an additional 146 distribution line workers plus support on standby.
