“Just as important as having liability insurance coverage, is coverage that protects you.” Tim Smith of Elliott and Smith Law Firm says there are three things that need to be on every auto insurance policy.
1. Uninsured Motorist Coverage – It covers you in a wreck when the person that caused the wreck does not have any insurance at all.
2. Underinsured Motorist Coverage – It covers you when the person who caused the accident does not have enough coverage to cover all of your damages.
3.No Fault Medical Pay Coverage – It pays your medical bills when you are in a car wreck regardless of who is at fault.
Smith recommends ” talk to your insurance agent, look at your insurance declaration page, and make sure that you have uninsured motorist coverage, underinsured motorist coverage, and no-fault medical payments.”
