An investigation case involving a local public school official has been referred to the city prosecutor.
The Executive Director of Secondary Education for the Fayetteville School District, Dr. Mark Oesterle, was placed on administrative leave about a month ago for a personal issue, according to Fayetteville Public School’s Public Information Officer, Alan Wilbourn.
Wilbourn didn’t give any further details as to why Oesterle was placed on leave.
Detectives have been working on the case for about a month and now it is in the hands of the city prosecutor, Brian Thomas, to see if charges will be filed, according to Fayetteville Police Department Sergeant Tony Murphy.
