A Celebration of Dr. Seuss in Rogers

ROGERS, Ark. (KNWA) - In honor of Dr. Seuss Day, Barnes and Noble in Rogers hosted a story time event.

To celebrate the author's birthday, the event not only had great books to read, but it also had coloring and other activities for kids to participate in.

Amy Taylor, a director at Primrose School of Rogers, says reading is so important for children as they grow. She said she enjoyed seeing them all have fun.

"It's great, they get so soaked in every single book and it's great to see them paying attention and just look at every page and they just love when people read to them," Taylor said.

The event also doubled as a book drive that will help in donating books to Arkansas Children's Northwest.
