A new film studio opens up shop in Hiwasse, increasing the opportunities for Hollywood-style productions to be shot in Northwest, Arkansas.
Farm Studios sits on almost five acres of land off Dickson Road, near Highway 279.
It includes a soundstage, cyclorama wall, and light gird.
The co-owner of Farm Studios, Jason Netter said the Bentonville Film Festival helped put Arkansas on the map within the film industry and hopes he can contribute to the cinematic growth in the area.
“Everybody seemingly wants to shoot here so I think the first step is you have to put some basic infrastructure in place and hopefully this is what that is,” said Netter.
Netter credited the filming of True Detective in NWA as what helped spread the word in Los Angeles about the opportunities that the ‘natural state’ has to offer producers and film-makers.
