From a home to a haybarn were just a couple of the locations that sheriff deputies in Madison County encountered in getting a parole absconder back into custody on Thursday, January 17, according to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) Facebook page.
Dustin Gibson, 39, from Elkins, has several arrest warrants and has been on the lam for several weeks, according to MCSO.
In Hindsville, deputies learned Gibson was in the vicinity, and later found a vehicle he was driving at a home near Highway 412 — but he left on foot before they arrived, according to the Facebook post.
A bit later, Gibson was arrested after deputies found him hiding in a haybarn.
Authorities state that when they searched Gibson’s car they found methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Gibson is in the Madison County jail on no bond; he’s held on the following charges:
- Terroristic Threatening (F)
- Driving on Suspended
- Criminal Trespass
- Possession Drug Paraphernalia (M)
- Possession < 4 oz. Marijuana
- Possession Drug Paraphernalia (F)
- Possession Meth or Cocaine >10 Grams < 200 Grams.
