BENTON COUNTY, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — UPDATE: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Beaver Lake Project Office have reopened Lost Bridge North and Damsite Peninsula swim beaches after they were closed May 19 because of higher than acceptable bacteria levels.

BENTON COUNTY, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — The Arkansas Department of Health closes three swim beaches in Benton County due to E. Coli.

The ADH says Lost Bridge North, Damsite Peninsula and Lake Avalon are closed until further notice.

There are signs at each location indicating high bacteria levels. Once levels are within acceptable range, the swim beaches will reopen.
