Fayetteville’s police chief announced the results of December narcotics operations, which includes two dozen arrests and the seizure of drugs, guns and cash.
Fayetteville police participate in Fourth Judicial District Drug Task Force operations.
Twenty-four drug-related arrests were made by the Task Force in December, including arrests for suspicion of delivery of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to Police Chief Greg Tabor.
The Task Force seized the following during December narcotics operations:
- 1,277.64 grams of methamphetamine
- 822 grams of marijuana
- 17.88 grams of heroin
- 71.5 doses of scheduled pharmaceuticals (of which 18 were opioids)
- 3 Firearms
- $2,160 in U.S. currency
The Task Force is comprised of officers representing Farmington, Fayetteville, Greenland, Goshen, Lincoln, Prairie Grove, Springdale and West Fork police departments, as well as deputies from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
