After this weekend’s devastating storms, power companies are still working to restore service to Arkansans.
Ozarks Electric Cooperative now reports less than 750 people are without power. This is a large improvement from earlier this afternoon.. when about 15-hundered people were missing power.
The places still searching for power are primarily in the combs substation in Arkansas and the Tenkiller, Cookson and Titanic substation areas in Oklahoma.
Compare this to yesterday morning, when nearly 25-thousand people had no power.
Storms knocked down 100 poles and sent a significant amount of debris on their power lines.

You can also see some of the work being done in the chicken creek area of Oklahoma.
“We have crews that have been on the ground since the storm hit on Friday evening and they continue to work throughout the night. We are on a 24 hour protocol at this point,” said Ozark Electric Vice President of Marketing and Communications, Ashley Harris.
