Arkansans Rally to End the Government Shutdown

It has been four weeks and counting since the government has been shut down due to negotiations about the wall being built and over 800,000 federal employees across the nation have been furloughed.

Over 13,000 of those employees reside in Arkansas.

Federal employees across the nation are attending protest and rallies and many organizations are taking action to provide aid to those who are being directly affected. 

The Arkansas American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) is joining the federal employees across the nation who are taking action to provide aid to those who are being directly affected. 

Monday, January 21, a public rally will be held outside of the AFGE building in North Little Rock.

The rally starts at 1 p.m.

Those attending will be standing in support of federal employees who are being affected by the government shutdown.
