Arkansas Approves Tax on Medical Marijuana

News

Arkansas will cash in on prescription pot.

Lawmakers have approved a bill that will impose a four percent tax on medical marijuana.

The tax is estimated to raise more than one million dollars in 2018 and close to $2.5 million in 2019.

Medical marijuana facilities, like grow houses and pot shops, are already expected to generate millions of dollars to support the program.
