AROUND ARKANSAS — It was a big day for nonprofits across Arkansas on Thursday. Over $1.9 million was raised for charities during this year’s Arkansas Gives campaign.
The one day event -that started Thursday- received donations from over 7500 people.
Each donation made during the day helps the charity qualify for even more cash from The Arkansas Community Foundation which has a $250,000 pool. Among the local leaders: United Way of Northwest Arkansas and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas.
