Arkansas Minimum Wage Increases in Less than Two Weeks

News

A new year means new pay for some Arkansas workers.

In two weeks, minimum wage employees in Arkansas will get a raise. It’s the first of three increases voters approved in November.

The rate will increase from $8.50 to $9.25 an hour starting January 1st. The state wage increases to $10 an hour in 2020, then $11 in 2021.

We’ve spoken with some businesses who are already cutting hours and increasing costs.

Others who already pay more than the minimum wage, plan to increase their base pay in January as well.
