A man is facing charges after allegedly shooting a female in the face with a crossbow Monday, according to the Cross County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were called around 4:30 p.m., February 11, to a home in regards to a shooting incident.
The victim had already left to be treated at a hospital by the time deputies arrived at the scene. The victim’s condition is unknown.
Joseph Avellino, 34, of Wynne, was arrested and charged with first-degree battery, and three counts of endangering the welfare of a minor by the Cross County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities say his bond will be set on Wednesday.
