BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) -- The Arkansas Philharmonic Orchestra has announced its 2018-2019 performance season.
"This season promises an array of performances for patrons of all ages. The APO welcomes entire families to experience live symphonic music together and has made adjustments to make it easier for families," Jason Miller with APO said in a news release.
This season features two matinee performances, a 7 p.m. start time for evening performances and the all new "Classical Kid’s Club" where teaching artists will welcome the APO's youngest fans during concerts and provide a fun environment where kids will learn about the composers and compositions being performed by the orchestra. Club admission is included in the $5 student ticket, according to the news release.
The new season kicks off Saturday, September 29 at 3 p.m. at the Arend Arts Center in Bentonville with "Halloween Fantasia," which the news release describes as a fun, family friendly program that encourages guests to dress in costume and experience a melodic celebration of everyone’s favorite Halloween-themed music.
"With selections ranging from John Williams to Igor Stravinsky, this will be a holiday event you won’t want to miss," the news release states.
