(via KARK) —  Nexstar Broadcasting Little Rock announced Tuesday political reporter and Capitol View host Drew Petrimoulx will travel to Washington, D.C. next week to cover the inauguration of our nation’s 45th president Donald Trump.

Petrimoulx will cover the festivities through the eyes of Arkansans attending the week’s events.

“This just reinforces our commitment to being the go-to station in Central Arkansas for political coverage,” said KARK News Director Austin Kellerman.  “As Your Local Election Headquarters, we’re following the process through to this historic time for Arkansas and our nation.”

Ceremonies begin Thursday when Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence lay a wreath at Arlington National Cemetery honoring the country’s veterans.

On Friday morning, festivities begin around 8:30 a.m. at the Inauguration Ceremony. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts will swear in Trump in front of a massive audience including members of Congress, the U.S. Supreme Court, and invited guests.

Following the ceremony, an inaugural parade will take place. Russellville High’s marching band is scheduled to participate.

The parade will be followed by several inaugural balls throughout the D.C. metro area. Petrimoulx plans to follow Arkansans attending the events.

Other events are scheduled through the weekend. Petrimoulx’s coverage will continue through Sunday evening.
