Arkansas State Police Crack Down on Speeding

FOX24

NORTHWEST ARKANSAS (KFTA) – Arkansas State Police say speeding on roads leads to deaths so the organization is leading an effort to crack down on fast driving.

Next week, operation “Obey the Sign or Pay the Fine” goes into full effect.

It’s a joint effort between state officers and local law enforcement.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration says almost 10,000 people died from crashes involving speeding in 2015.

The upcoming operation will be from July 16 to July 22.
