LITTLE ROCK, Ark.(KFTA) – The Arkansas Department of Human Services warns residents who receive their healthcare coverage through Arkansas Works to actively check their work and community engagement requirement to avoid losing coverage.
DHS reports that about 5,400 beneficiaries did not meet the 80 hour requirement for June and July. Failing to meet this requirement for three months out of the year will result in loss of coverage for the rest of the calendar year.
“Beneficiaries can take action by visiting the Access Arkansas website to report their activities or exemptions, making a phone call to their insurance carrier so that one of the carrier’s registered reporters can submit their activities for them, or visiting one of our 85 local county offices for help,” said DHS Deputy Director Dawn Stehle.
This month, the deadline to report activities is Sept. 5 at 9 p.m.
