Arrest Made in Early Morning Shooting in Rogers

UPDATE: The Rogers Police Department have arrested a man in connection to Sunday morning’s shooting at a McDonalds on W. Walnut St.

Officer Keith Foster with the Rogers Police Department said Devon Russell, 24, is now being held at the Benton County Jail and faces two charges of battery in the first degree. Officials say more charges are expected.

Foster said the firearm used in the shooting was also recovered by police.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE: Sunday morning around 1:38 AM, the Rogers Police Department responded to a shooting at the McDonald’s on W. Walnut Street.

According to police, when officers arrived they learned that two men had been shot in the restaurant parking lot following an altercation. The suspect left the scene before officers arrived.

Both victims were transported to Mercy Medical for treatment.

Detectives with the Rogers Police Department are processing and investigating the incident.

Police said they believed the incident is isolated. 

This is an active, on-going investigation.
