As part of its bicentennial celebration in 2018, the city of Fort Smith will honor one of its famous sons.
The opening reception honoring artist, John Bell, will be held on Thursday, January 4 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Fort Smith Regional Art Museum.
The exhibit will run from January 5 through April 22.
Bell’s work as a painter and sculptor spanned half of a century and was influenced by the culture of western Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma.
The event is free admission for members of the art museum but five dollars for non members.
