One of Fayetteville’s newest and hippest apartment complexes is getting some street art.

Steve Adair, an artist from Rogers, is painting two murals on the garages at Uptown.

The apartments are across from Razorback Cinema off of Joyce Boulevard.

The murals are part of a series called “Dapper” and are inspired by film stills, magazine ads and family snapshots from the 1950s.

“It’s kind of exciting, but it’s kind of nerve wracking at the same time,” Adair said. “You know, I feel like art should be accessible to everybody. I don’t feel like somebody should go to an art museum or gallery to experience that.”
Adair’s work has been exhibited on numerous occasions throughout Arkansas, Texas, Illinois and Colorado.
He’s also an art educator, teaching elementary and middle school art.
