Nineteen local artists came together to create a “Better World Mural,” representing the need to end extreme poverty and fight inequality, Saturday, April 13.
The mural is made up of 18 different panels, 4′ x 4′, and its purpose is to inspire people to take action in support of the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals and the Charter for Compassion.
Each artist was asked to choose a goal and paint what they see.
“We have just an amazing array of everything you can image from different styles, different techiniques, different viewpoints. I mean for some people the world is scary right now. For other people in the world there’s opportunity and it’s beautiful,” said Terra Studios President Jamie Ulick.
The permanent home of the mural will be at Terra Studios, though Compassion Fayetteville was also a partner in the creation.
