FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. — A man accused of grabbing a woman’s buttocks on a walking trail in Bentonville has been arrested, authorities say.

Brian L. Snyder, 33, of Bella Vista was booked into the Benton County Detention Center on Wednesday and faces a charge of second-degree sexual assault, according to the Bentonville Police Department.

On Tuesday, the woman was walking on a trail near the Waste Water Plant on Northeast A Street in Bentonville when Snyder came up from behind and grabbed her buttocks, authorities said.

He then ran to a nearby parked vehicle and sped off. The woman was able to get a license plate number from the vehicle and called police.

Police identified the man as Snyder, and he was arrested, authorities said.

Jail records show he hasn’t been granted bond, and his next court appearance is scheduled for October 16.
