The Trafalgar Road fire could get worse before it’s put out.
That’s the one message the Bella Vista Property Owners Association wants to get out to people before it extinguishes it.
The group submitted its plan last Friday to put out the stump dump fire to the Arkansas Department of Environmental Quality.
Once approved, the POA has three days to mobilize the three outside companies doing the work and then 30 days to complete the project.
The POA is working on a video that will be released Tuesday or Wednesday to answer the many questions people have.
“While the fire is being put out the smoke is going to get worse, it may be the worst the residents have seen yet,” said Tom Judson with Bella Vista POA.
Judson says two of the companies doing the work will monitor the air quality in real time to control the process until the fire is out, which is anticipated to be in the middle of June.
