Bella Vista POA Postpones Property Assessment Vote

News

BELLA VISTA, Ark. (KFTA) — The Bella Vista Property Owners Association voted Thursday to postpone an assessment increase vote until 2019.

The meetings were held to discuss whether to approve the first property assessment increase since 2001.

The second of three meetings was held Wednesday as the association proposed a number of improvements the increased revenue would be put toward.

That includes a recreation center, an indoor swimming pool, repurposing a golf course, a dog park and playground equipment.

The Property Owners Association released the following statement:

“This postponement does not change the fact that we need an assessment increase. Eighteen years is too long when our community is changing before our eyes.”
