A one-mile radius burn ban has been enacted in the area of the Trafalgar Road fire location, by the Bella Vista Fire Department.

Residents who live in the area and request burn permits will be notified by the fire department.

The fire department did not say how long the burn ban would be in place.

On Monday, January 28, the Arkansas Forestry Commission was on-site creating a fire break around the burn site.

The fire was first noticed on July 29, 2018, when the Bella Vista Fire Department received a call to check for smoke at the Trafalgar stump dump.  A caller reported smoke coming from that area.
