BELLA VISTA, Ark. (KFTA) — Bella Vista’s only movie theater is closing it’s doors to customers next week.
Sugar Creek 10 Cinema has been in business for almost 25 years.
Officials say they’re surprised at the move, citing several years of growth and a really strong local economy.
They said Bella Vista will play a big part in deciding what will replace the theater.
“It’s a wonderful piece of real estate right on Highway 71 with extremely high traffic counts,” said Travis Stevens, Bella Vista’s economic development officer. “So the city’s going to be very involved in attracting new businesses to that location.”
The next closest movie theater to Bella Vista is in Bentonville.
Sugar Creek 10 Cinema will close on May 17.
