Benton County Sheriff Kelley Cradduck has submitted his letter of resignation on Tuesday, per the Quorum County Court approval.
The Quorum County will meet tonight to approve or reject Sheriff Cradduck’s resignation.
The letter of resignation, which was sent by the law firm of Keith, Miller, Butler, Schneider and Pawlik, lists several conditions for the resignation.
According to the letter, one of the conditions is Cradduck will be paid a lump sum for the remainder of his pay through 2016 and the contribution amount the County would have made with regard to his health insurance through 2016.
In the letter, it states if Cradduck’s resignation was approved and his successor was appointed, the lump sum would be $79,611.94. It also states that amount would reduce about $300 per day.
According to the letter, Cradduck will remain Sheriff in name, but will not take any actions as Sheriff.
