Northwest Arkansas teachers are receiving appreciation throughout this week.
The Benton County Sheriff’s Office will visit schools across Benton County to relieve teachers of their morning duties.
The officers were at Osage Creek Elementary in Bentonville Tuesday to help with the car rider line. They surprised teachers with donuts to snack on.
Sgt. Shannon Jenkins with the Benton County Sheriff’s Office explained why it’s so important to give teachers some love.
“They’re out there in the community, they are dealing with the children everyday on a daily basis getting to know them,” Jenkins said. “We want the kids to know and the children to know and the teachers to know that we support them, we love them.”
In honor of Teacher Appreciation Week, the officers will be visiting a few more schools in the area, including Cooper Elementary in Bella Vista Wednesday.
