Benton County Search & Rescue shows off new facility

The county coroner and search and rescue team members in Benton County gave you the chance to check out their new facility.

The team showed off the over $5,000 new location at 1275 Melissa Drive in Bentonville, Wednesday night.

Coroner Daniel Oxford said the new building gives him much needed additional space to work with.

Meanwhile Nathan Reggish with Benton County Search and Rescue said it will help the team with response time.

“(It) allows for better entrance and exit to allow us to immediately respond to events. The other building was available to us, but this one’s a lot more conducive to the operations we need to engage in,” Reggish said.

Reggish also said they’ll now be able to add new members to their team.

Reggish also mentioned the new ability to conduct a wider array of training activities in house since there’s an artificial cave training experience on the property.
