Two independent sources confirm to FOX24 News that Benton County Sheriff Kelley Cradduck was arrested Tuesday afternoon.
Cradduck faces felony and misdemeanor charges of tampering with evidence.
According to our sources, the sheriff was taken into custody at the Sheriff’s Office in Bentonville.
Two employees have filed a total of three grievances against Sheriff Cradduck over the past few months, and the FBI has been investigating him since the fall of 2015.
In the grievances, the employees accuse Cradduck of asking them to falsify employee records and demoting them for alerting Arkansas State Police to the matter.
