A video mural in Bentonville brings to life the discussion about gun ownership in the United States.
Award-winning artist J.R. and Time Magazine partnered at 21C Bentonville to create the powerful video mural.
Videos included the voices of people across the country and their wide-ranging views about guns, gun violence, and second amendment rights.
Museum Manager, Dayton Castleman, says this was not a discussion about policy or politics, but an opportunity to listen and share personal experiences while searching for common ground.
“This very deliberately intended to be a conversation starter, intended to be a dialogue project and the perspectives represented by the people in the mural range from one end of the conversation to the other.”
The live mural will be projected all around the country. It will also be made available to the public to use the artwork as a tool for gathering communities and creating meaningful dialogue.
