BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) — Hundreds of students in Bentonville experienced an accident simulation Thursday.
Juniors and seniors from Bentonville West High School watched a short video describing the moments leading up to a fatal crash. They were led to the parking lot where local emergency crews along with the Benton County coroner and Northwest Medical staff were working the scene.
“They also worked with the county judges to put on something that shows us about distracted driving and it was important for our student body to see what actually happens in that particular scene,” said Teresa Hudson, program director for Ignite.
After the simulation, students watched a second video to learn how decisions leading up to the crash affected those involved.
