BikeNWA installed a temporary ‘protected bike lane’ on Tuesday in Fayetteville and Siloam Springs, according to Bianca Montoya with the Bike
The bike lane will be in three cities, which include Fayetteville, Springdale and a Neighborhood Greenway in Siloam Springs, according to the news release.
Montoya said the bike lane in Springdale was started on Monday, Oct. 29, and is 90 percent done as of Tuesday, Nov. 13.
“These lanes will be installed and surveyed over the next 12 months as a “test before you invest” approach to make the streets safer for families on bikes, commuters, and athletes,” the news release states.
BikeNWA partnered with the cities, Laneshift Mobility, and Active Planning + Design on this project, according to the news release.
