Body of Missing Man has Been Recovered from Beaver Lake

Officials have recovered the body of Aaron James Loewer from Beaver Lake, Friday, March 22, according to Washington County Coroner Roger Morris.

An autopsy will be done in Little Rock, said Morris.

Crews found Loewer’s body in 23 feet of water, with a water temperature of 51 degrees on Friday around 11 a.m., according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO).

Sonar found the image of the body, said WCSO’s, Captain Ti Augustine.

Divers went to recover the body which was in 23 feet of water and a water temperature of 51 degrees, according to WCSO.

There was a lot of debris in the water and visibility was poor for the divers, during the recovery process, said officials.

Loewer, 30, from Prairie Grove, fell into the lake Tuesday, March 19, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Rick Jensen.

On Wednesday, the search was expanded to a half-square mile.

Twenty divers searched Beaver Lake on Thursday to help find him.
