Bone Marrow Drive Planned for Fayetteville Man

FAYETTEVILLE — Family and friends of a man with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma will hold a bone marrow drive for him next week.

Jesse Lay, 27, is a father of three in Fayetteville who needs a bone marrow transplant from a matching donor. Lay’s loved ones, along with the group Delete Blood Cancer, will hold a bone marrow drive at the Happy Hollow Library on Tuesday, May 12 from 3:00 to 7:30 p.m.

The drive continues May 13-15 from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. On May 16, the drive will be held at Stonebridge Meadows Golf Club from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

People between the ages of 18 and 55 are eligible to register at no cost. Registration involves filling out a form and swabbing the inside of the cheeks.
