Breakfast Buzz: Piano Drop


A piano falls six stories down, crashes and lands in style. That tops this morning’s Breakfast Buzz.

An annual tradition returned to the campus of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology or MIT on Thursday, as students sent a piano falling from the roof. It is all part of a celebration on campus to bring the community together and to mark the last day students can officially drop a spring semester class.

Samsung is trying to combat distracted driving. The company is testing a new app it calls In-Traffic Reply, that automatically sends a pre-set message when you’re on the road. So that pressure you may feel to respond to calls and messages quickly is reduced. It’s set to launch next month in the Google Play store

Nintendo says it sold 2.7 million units of the Nintendo Switch since launching the new gaming console last month. It’s the fastest-selling Nintendo game console in the company’s history. They believe it will sell 10 million of the consoles globally during the fiscal year ending in March 2017.
