The Amazeum is celebrating Engineers Week with special pop-up activities that highlight everyday innovations created by engineers. This weeks theme is “Invent Amazing.”
When people think about engineering and engineers, most often they think of amazing inventions like driverless vehicles or space flight.
It’s easy to forget about the amazing inventions we take for granted every day like clean water at the turn of a tap and electricity at the flip of a switch.
During engineer’s week, the team at the Amazeum designed hands-on activities to help guests think about engineering as a process for creatively solving problems to make life better.
“We have an opportunity to have families come together — a family outing — and have families enjoy engineering together here at the Amazeum,” said Bailey Thompson, digital media marketing manager.
Engineer’s Week is dedicated to raising public awareness of engineers’ positive contributions to quality of life and the importance of technical education and a high level of math, science, technology and literacy in engineering careers.
