Valentine’s Day is a special holiday at The Walmart Museum.
Sam and Helen Walton were married on February 14, 1943, and this holiday would have been their 76th wedding anniversary.
This Valentine’s Day, as in years past, the museum will substitute the silk flowers on display with Helen’s dress with a fresh bouquet for the day.
Fifteen years ago, a local singing quartet delivered Valentine’s Day singing telegram for Ms. Helen
Walton in her home in honor of her wedding anniversary.
This year, the Walmart Museum is bringing barbershop singers to entertain visitors for Valentine’s Day, including one of those original crooners.
The community is invited to enjoy Walmart Museum Valentine’s activities such as the flower display and musical performances from 3-4:30 p.m.
