FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KFTA)– True Detective, F.R.E.D.I., and now a brand new movie is using Northwest Arkansas as its backdrop for filming.
In a Fox 24 exclusive, Clarissa Bustamante caught up with one Hollywood star who was only in town filming for 24 hours.
Chad Michael Murray was right here in Fayetteville filming at a local mansion for his new project, Max Winslow and the House of Secrets.
Murray plays a tech billionaire by the name of Atticus Virtue, who owns a smart mansion controlled by a super computer.
He has five teenagers compete to beat this smart computer, and in return, he will give them the house.
Although the star only spent a short amount of time here, he says he’ll remember the people.
Murray said, “The first thing that comes to mind is the kindness and genuine nature that everyone has here.” He adds, “I’m so blessed to be here, I’m excited to make this movie and I just hope I can, you know, make her sing.”
He also says that if he had more time, he would stick around in the Natural State and try to find some diamonds. He heard we’re famous for them.
Produced by Johnny Remo, the film will wrap up production on Feb. 3.
