A Bentonville man has been charged with negligent homicide after a man passed away from his injuries stemming from an accident in Bentonville on November 3.
Michael Porath, 21, was traveling westbound on SE 14th Street and collided with another vehicle driven by Bradley Douglas, 46, of Rogers.
Douglas’s vehicle was cut in half and he was ejected. Douglas died from his injuries sustained from the crash days later.
Porath has been charged with negligent homicide, which is a felony. Porath was also charged with misdemeanors of driving while intoxicated, reckless driving, driving on a suspended driver’s license and inadequate insurance in an accident.
Porath is being held in Benton County Jail on a $50,000 bond.
