FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KFTA) – This years Citizens Police Academy is set to begin on Tuesday, March 29.
According to the Bentonville Police Department, over 400 citizens have graduated from the program since 1999.
The course consists of eight consecutive Thursday night classes designed to give citizens a working knowledge of the police department.
The training will be comprehensive and will include lectures, demonstrations and facility tours.
Citizens will explore separate areas such as K-9 Teams, Bomb Squad, Criminal Investigations and Forensics.
Applicants must be 21 years old and live or work in the Bentonville to participate.
